Orientation · Draft site

A field of inquiry into what living systems carry.

Unwindology began with direct somatic and fascia observation. It follows patterned tension, memory, load, regulation, and change across a growing set of explicitly bounded frameworks.

01 / ORIGIN

The body was the first source.

The project began by paying attention to what bodies actually do under accumulated load: where breath stops, how posture adapts, how tension travels, and how a release in one place can alter a distant region.

Over time, the work became less about isolated symptoms and more about organization. The recurring question was not simply “what hurts?” but “what pattern is this system maintaining—and what conditions keep it necessary?”

02 / QUESTIONS

The shared thread

Four questions hold the work together.

  1. 01

How does a living system organize tension rather than merely contain it?

  2. 02

How does prior load alter what the system can do next?

  3. 03

When does a stabilizing pattern become costly?

  4. 04

What changes when conditions—not just behavior—change?

03 / BOUNDARY

How to read this site

Coherence is not confirmation.

A model can connect many observations and still require direct testing. The site is designed to show where a statement sits rather than borrowing authority from the framework around it.

Observed

A pattern or event recorded in field work or a defined test.

Derived

A conclusion developed from stated observations and assumptions.

Predicted

An outcome the framework says should occur under defined conditions.

Confirmed

Reserved for results that meet the relevant verification standard.
